The Malt Shovel edged a tight encounter against Gemmel M, running out 5–4 winners after seven fiercely contested games
Match Summary
The evening began brightly for the home side, with Malt Shovel taking the opener 1–0 before doubling their advantage in the second match, where they ground out a 2–1 win, giving them three legs to the good early on. They pressed further in the third game, another 1–0 victory, putting Gemmel M under real pressure.
Gemmel M showed resilience, however, rallying in the middle of the night with back-to-back 1–0 wins to claw themselves back into contention at 3–2.
The sixth match proved pivotal. Malt Shovel regained control with another 1–0 victory, moving the. m one step away from sealing the night. Although Gemmel M struck back in the final game with a hard-earned 1–0 win, it wasn’t enough to overturn the deficit.
